Question: Are the projects marked externally? (1 Viewer)

I suppose I should know this but I honestly don't. Considering the amount of time I have spent on mine I hope this is the case. If so how much of the external assessent are they worth?

fairly sure unless you're is entered for like, the prize giving doodad, no, its marked internally, at least initially.
last year my ancient teacher externally marked the best. so, yeah.

it's marked internally, yeah. it's just treated as another internal school assessment, albeit a pretty big one, and goes toward your internal assessment mark.

the whole project (proposal, journal, essay and annotated bibliography) is worth 80% of your internal assessment mark, which equates to 40% of your overall HSC mark. the breakdown of your HSC mark, in other words, is:
40% major work
10% trial
50% HSC exam

In that sense, students should treat it as another assessment; ie, find out what the markers want.
