what happens to the path of a charged particle in a uniform magnetic field when they enter at angles other that 90o ?

When a charge q enters at right angles to a magnetic field of strength B at a velocity v, it forms a circular path because the force acting on the charge is perpendicular to the velocity of the charge :)

also, for positive particles, the direction of the force on the moving particle in the field is the right hand push rule. (ie thumb in direction if current(moving charge) fingertips in direction of magnetic field(arrows) and front slap that mofo in the direction of the force)

for negative particles, it is a backhand.

At angles other than 90degrees they will still complete full revolutions, as magnetic force is centripetal, however, there will also be a component parallel to the field which will cause it to move along and it will create a helical path, or a corkscrew
