ok we did this simple experiment, and trust me it helps big time

get a long plastic hollow cylinder (relatively thin)

get a mass and tie it to both ends of a string.

Thread the string up through the cylinder, and have the mass hanging (u hold it).

Now start spinning the top mass, and get a speed at which u can let go of the bottom mass.

Basically what it shows is that the fast u spin the top mass the radius will increase, and the force on the bottom mass will cause it to move up, showing more force.

So basically it helps with orbits of sats. Faster = short radius, slower when it is a longer radius, but there is more energy when there is a larger radius (As the bottom mass rises)..

i hope this sorta helps

Circular motion

Ball on a string whirled in a circle

Source of centripetal force

Tension in the string

Remember that a large amount of the syllabus was removed from the syllabus. The 2004 syllabus is the same, earlier has extra information so are still good practice.
