I was just wondering wat u need to write about in Emma/cluesless transformation essay overall.

-context of two texts
-values that are shown in both texts.

is there anything else u need to tlk about???

My Emma/Clueless essay consists of:
  • Two contrasting contexts
  • Three Contrasting values
  • Eight techniques
  • Eight quotes
Although my teacher said more quotes may be needed, and I may need to either talk about more values, or the three values in depth. Bleh!

If you mean the contrasting of contexts, I write about the overall environment and the societal beliefs, and how they have noticeably changed since 1816.

If you mean the contrasting of values, I write about values such as love, marriage and wealth that hold different values in the 20th century than what they did in the 19th century.

Is that what you mean?

u can say what every you want as long as you back it up

maybe a change in production time, and the way it is produced has allowed the values to be kept the same

maybe the values have been altered slightly

maybe they are totally different

if u back it up you shoud be ok

You can say whatever you like about the values. As iambored has said, your opinions are valid as long as you can back it up. I chose to say that they values of love, marriage and wealth have changed since 1816.

the context and values are really important but don't get too caught up in them! we're studying the texts, so it's prob better to get straight to the point and talk about the techniques austen and heckerling uses to convey these values etc. it's really easy to start writing slabs of stuff about each context, but i think you'll have a tighter/more relevant writing if you synthesized the contextual things, since this module is about the transformation process
