I was wondering how I should structure my Module C: People and Politics speech.
My speech's question is How has the construction of your chosen text revealed the reasons for, and impact of, people's particular political motivations?
My chosen text is V for Vendetta. I also have to refer to the audience as a Module C forum
I've kind of tested how much I can read within the time limits (4-5mins), and it's around 700-800 words.
The structure I've thought of is so far, as I've already made my introduction:
Introduction (100w)
Point 1 & 2 (500 = 250w each)
Conclusion (100w)
Now here's my question: What kind of points should I construct that could answer the question effectively?
I've been thinking to talk about the political effects of Norsefire (point 1) and how their ambiguous practices have created a controlled London. (also touches on how political power can be perverse).
Then talk about the reasons for V's acts and how they had converted the once controlled London into a dominant world of freedom where their original social "masks" are taken off (point 2)
