Hey guys,

Contragulations on completing your English HSC exams. I'm sure you all did well!
I just started yr 12 and we just starting analysing The Road Not Taken and Journey Over Land and Sea (from the Stimulus Booklet) in class.

Our techer gave us a question to answer SEPERATELY for each text. The thing is, I'm not too sure how to approach it.

"How does the composer use techniques effectively to convey his ideas about Physical Journeys?"

Obviously I need to talk about techniques, however .. the question is worded in the way I have to talk about the effectiveness of the techniques?!?!

For instance, if the question was "How does the composer convey his ideas about Physical Journeys?" I would talk abt the techniques.

But as you can see, I'm a little confused about this one. Any ideas? It would be appreciated greatly!

Thanks in advance.

haha

in a year you will look back at this question and laugh

just omit the word effectively if it helps u, its just asking for how the composer, for example uses rhetoric, imagery, tone etc in an effective manner in order to portray the journey

I think if someone is capable of going on here, is capable of listening in class. Do you want people to give you a download of their work?
