so, i finished my HSC last year.
not very proud of my UAI.
and i know for sure i aint getting into any of the courses
i applied for at uni with my uai.

so, i did my reserach and decided to go to tafe
do an accounting diploma or advanced diploma
whichever one i get in, hopefully
and than transfer to uni after i finish it

so my question is:
if i don't get in tafe, because i'm doing the late application thing,
should i repeat year 12 at tafe or school??

if i studied real hard would my uai increase alot or a little??

can it go from 50 up to the 70's or 80's??

i had a friend of mine, who did tafe 3 times to get the uai she wanted
because her uai only increased a bit eveytime she did it.

please let me know.
thanks in advance. http://community.boredofstudies.org

If you want to do accounting... you can start to do some subjects in Uni of South Australia's Bachelor of Accounting degree (no entry requirements if you enter through Open Uni Aust) then see if you can transfer to your uni of choice after, say, first year. Spend your time doing what you want to do and doing it at a uni level, not chasing a pretty number.

Either that or look into doing the Dip of Accounting through OTEN (TAFE by distance). Since it is not face to face, they have a lot more places available.

With TAFE though, you might get easier entry into the Cert III which is often (but not for all areas) the first semester of the Diploma anyway (and it costs less money doing it step by step).
