Hey,

I was just wondering, is the UMAT purely multiple choice? I've been looking at sample questions, and it seems to also be based on english comprehension, and general math? Can someone verify this? Also, how do I actually prepare for it? I'm sitting it next year, and Ill be in first year either in nursing, pschy, or Politics/Economics/Philo. I'm really nervous.

Thanks guys, and good luck in getting selected for an interview!

-Purely 134 MCQs with Section 1 +3 (sorta like general ability in selective tests) and Section 2 (english comprehension but harder).
The questions are a bit harder than general maths in hsc, haha (I think?). Well there's probability in it. 2U maths might help there :)
Prepare for it by doing practice papers in timed conditions and thoroughly reviewing them afterwards.

Good luck!

Umat is only multiple choice yes :)

No English or maths--it has 3 sections:

S1: Logical Reasoning and Problem Solving
S2: Understanding People
S3: Non-verbal Reasoning

What are you looking to apply for?
Dentistry or Medicine preferably at UWS since it's close to home. I heard UWS doesn't accept section 3 is that true?

Lol doll?
Anyway, I don't think uws offers dentistry and uws apparently favours S3 a lot less than the other sections. The weighting used to be 1:1:0.5 but now they're changing it so that it's even less than 0.5.
You can find practice papers by buying them off people or asking friends. There are free ones on medentry, medstart and matrix but besides that there isn't many. I bought my first papers on bos.
