Hey guys,

Well, I’m currently in year 12 and have to put in my uni preferences soon. I’m looking at course number 604001, which is B Laws, which is just straight law and not a combined degree. (I think)

I was just wondering if anyone is doing this, what it includes is it interesting??? Is there a lot of reading to do???.

I’m not really familiar what subjects or topics this course includes.

Any help would be sooooooo much appreciated.

Also, are there any other recommendations of courses, if the field I want to participate in is lawyer/ solicitor?

Thanks for your time!

Hello nevmirza,

In regards to the straight B Laws course, you'll find heaps of information on the handbook --> http://www.handbook.uts.edu.au/law/ug/c10124.html

The UAC codes are: 604000 (FT CSP), 604001 (PT CSP), 614000 (FT DFEE), 614001 (PT DFEE)
[FT being Full-time; PT being Part-time, CSP being Commonwealth Supported Place; and DFEE being Domestic Fee Paying.]

I can't really comment on your other questions, as I'm not a law student =(. Best bet would be to private message one of the UTS Law students (from our UTS Rollcall):

its a 4 year degree
theres alot of reading for it

combining it you only get 3
plus you get general ed options
from any factulty

business law is the most popular combination for combined degrees
