if anyone is bothered to help me with these questions it would be very much appreciated

1. if 2^a + 3^b = 17 and 2^(a+2) - 3^(b-1)=5, find the values of a and b.

2. x^2 + y^2 = 16 and 3x + 4y - 20 = 0. Find x and y.
