Segregation is the separation of the chromatids (note, NOT chromosomes) of a chromosome. Each chromatids end up in one daughter cell. So you will end up two identical daughter cells from mitosis.

In meiosis, segregation can mean that two homologues chromosomes, e.g. two copies of chromosomes 1, are separated in the first division.
