I'm confused. Is rank really more important than the actual mark you recieve?

Because I really hope so.

My mid-year results + ranks were..

Gen Maths - 58%, 31/65
Eng Adv - 87%, 5/46
Eng Ext 1 - 80%, 3/8
Senior Science - 83%, 2/16
IPT - 84%, 1/9
French - 89%, 1/10

Hoping for an 85+ UAI, although the cut-off for the course of my dreams is 92.40.. hmm..

What kind of UAI would eventuate from those marks/ranks?

i think with those marks ull b able to get 85 but if its possible lift ur mark/rank for general maths and bring it to around 75 and yes rank is more important than ur mark as they determine how u will go in the hsc

at school it's all about ur rank...
u can average 10% in all ur assessments at school but if u have a good rank(or the ppl who beat u are all very good) then u do good in the HSC exams den it's good.

Possibly 85+ Need to know what school. You need to bring up maths, but hopefully 1u of it wont count.
I think i can do alot better in most of my subjects, esp maths, french and IPT.

I go to Bulli High School.. i think it was ranked in the early 300's last year .. not a brilliant school.
