Hey,
Just because you DON'T get a certificate of distinction does NOT mean your PIP didn't do well (ie- 27-30) Working on what you said Survivor, only about 10 people in the state would have got 27-30, and that's stupid. The ones at the state library are the OUTSTANDING (and often most politically correct) PIPs that would have got 30. And so no, just because you didn't get that does not mean you didn't score extremely highly in that PIP - it's like ext 2 eng; just because you dont get in the showcase does not mean you couldn't have got 49/50. A girl at my school two years ago got 95 for S&C, and her PIP wasn't a "distinction" PIP.
Btw, I think in 2001 the highest mark was 96-97, and probably a bit higher last year. In 2001 it was a girl from Penshurst, and in 2002 one from St Mary's. Generally I think the markers are quite harsh, as in 2001 only 1.88% got band 6, but then you have to think not HEAPS of selective schools do it, and a lot of people don't try or think it's easy, leading to their downfall (plus, it's the last exam, and everyone is worn out)
