In assuming your raw mark is your real mark before alignment, is your external hsc mark the exact mark you get in your exam or is it the mark after alignment/ scaling or whatever they call it?

The one you get on your transcript is the external mark after alignment but before scaling.

In addition to the above, NESA does not inform you of your raw marks. If you wish to know what one or more of your raw marks were, you can normally request them via NESA's HSC Raw Mark Reports service, which lists the raw mark you were allocated for each exam question and your raw Examination Mark in a subject.
