Is it really essential to read the actual text or, is it fine to read summaries, analysis and other relevant information revolving around the text?
I didn't read the prescribed texts for the other English Modules and got good marks. ????:confused2:

It's always good to read the actual text but not essential.

As long as you can provide a solid analysis and good understanding of the text in your essay, it doesn't matter if you've read the text or not.
