Ok, so say we have 5 = 10 * X

So does X = 5/10
or does X = 10/5?

Can never remmeber which one goes on top.

it all depends of it was 5= 10 (to the power of) X. that would make the answer a whole lot different. lol

otherwise, if it is just
5= 10x
just divide 10 on the right hand side because you only want X
so you divide it to one side, you gotta do it to the otherside...so the answer is:
X = 5/10

Alot of people make silly mistakes on these type of qns so be careful!

If that question was serious...

10 = 5x

x = 10/5
=2
