I have no idea why I cant get the books answer and now I'm really worried

The questions asks: How many committees of one boy and one girl can be selected from 5 boys and 6 girls

wouldnt it just be 5x6?
The answer is 150? so are you meant to times by 5 twice?

sorry I know this was a really stupid question

5C1 x 6C1 = 30

I don't know, it seems right. Maybe the textbook made a mistake?
