I got an important hsc assignment due tomorrow, but can't do one major question.
It's: Write down three chemical equations showing the formation of chloroflurocarbons (CFCs).

I've talked to my tutor about this, he say 'there's many processes involved in it, he can't remember it properly, it's 2nd year uni stuff and it's not in the syllabus.'

However I still have to do it, huge marks involved and I don't want to lose these. Help pleaseeee!!

don't patronize me, this is important and to me it's a extremely difficult question which so far i'm unable to find a solution to anywhere. Tried text books, notes and a wide variety of sites. If you have a useful link or any information, i'd be grateful if you shared it.

To my knowledge, this isn't to do with ozone and any ozone reactions but about how CFC is formed. ie, equations representing the creation of chlorofluorocarbons.

which dotpoint are you working on?
CFCs and halons?

so far, i haven't come across a specific eqn that show the formation of CFCs; Just structures of some CFCs, haloalkanes & what CFC does to the ozone ..
so yeah ..

I don't believe it's in the syllabus (stated in opening post), however it's still required in my assessment task and the weighting is significant. I've hit a dead end, nothing much i can do, was hoping someone could shed some light on this.
