ok I don't get how to do them I need some help

you have to integrate by parts to get the rule don't you?

In recurrence/reduction, rather than working on one side of the equation like you normally do, your working on both sides of the equation.
so after doing parts say, you get an integral that looked exactly like the beginning, but a few powers down, then you call the original integral "In " and call the other, lower powered integral, "In-r" say, where r is the amount of powers down
can't remember an example, but I'm sure your txtbk would have some
its usually trig stuff though, like (sinx)^n

I looked at the CSSA one the other day... :eek: :eek: :eek: I'm sorry but that wasn't easy to see... what do they teach these people?!?!
Try and fool around w/ them until you get something... I don't know, use obvious splits first like take one sine out or something...

ive seen some in past papers worth 3 marks where some are worth like 9 marks!!, we better not get one, and if we do i hope its some hell easy one, in the first question with integration

I think I've got it

I saw my teacher at squash last night and he helped me out with it..... I still hate them :(
