For quotes, in say, Hamlet, RAGAD or Cloudstreet etc., in the exams, how would we reference them? Is it even required?

For e.g. in Hamlet, would writing:

"To be or not to be..." (3.11.14) be the correct way of doing it?

Could I just draw a line, leaving a bit of space, at the bottom of the page for footnotes or would either way be acceptable?

i never did it aside from assessment tasks, was never penalised. referencing pages is useless without referencing year/publisher and there's no way you're expected to do that.

you won't be required to reference for any high school assessments, aside from a bibliography (if you're doing a hand-in ancient history assessment or something)

:)
