Could someone please help me with the following questions:

Sketch on an Argand Diagram:

1. -pi < Arg z < pi

2. Arg (z+2) = 3pi/4

Many thanks

The Locus of 1 traces out a semi-circle which is below the real axis.
For 2, draw a line from -2 on the real axis. Measure an angle of 135 from the real axis anti clockwise. Remember the eqn does not satisfy -2 so draw a circle(small) on it. Sammy

Um...isn't 1) just the entire plane minus the real axis?

Yeah it should be, but it should only be minus the negative part of the real axis as the positive part has an argument of 0
