for an assessment task we need three supplementary texts; i've got two
- Donnie Darko
- the lyrics of 'from yesterday' by 30 seconds to mars
i dont know what other text type to use... where not meant to do the same text types, is lyrics to close to a poem?
help!

No a poem sounds fine. But if you're going to do a song you've got to realise that you're analysing the melody etc. as well as the lyrics. All the teachers i've asked about songs pretty much say the same thing: that you have to be at a high grade in your musicianship (music theory) exams (prob 5th grade or above) to successfully analyse the song musically. If you are that's great, because your analysis of the poem would obviously be very different to the song. But if your not, then perhaps try analysing:
- an artwork(if you do art)
- a play
- a movie(have you done one of those yet? lol sorry forget whether you said you did)
- an advertisement/article( the sun herald is a good source- the travel section for journeys)
- an internet site
- a videogame( the whole 2nd person p.o.v. might be interesting to talk about)

p.s. all texts explore the concept of the journey in some way, shape or form-so you don't need to be too picky-just choose a text quickly and analyse it well

HELP!
i have a speech to do.
its on physical journeys and
i need a related text,
it has to be related somehow
to some peter skrzynecki's poems.
can anyone help me
and give me ideas on wat to use.
