Hey there folks,
I'm doing my speech for this module on the relationships in BNW and BR. I've got BR pretty well sorted (i found a wicked quote by Harrison Ford: "it's a movie about whether you can have a meaningful relationship with your toaster") and this has given me some inspiration as to the direction of my speech, that being the question of human relationships in a material world.
I want to look at the significance of relationships (or the lack thereof) but i have become stuck as soon as i start to look at BNW, simply because there are no relationships. Friendship is a seemingly non-existant entity. Sexual relations are a reflection of the phrase "everyone belongs to everyone else."
i am thinking that perhaps the best way to go is to discuss the absence of relationships, but as soon as i do this, i feel my speech becomes too speculative.
help anyone?
cheers
