a couple of questions:
  • what is a target market strategy?
  • using the SMART objectives how do i creat a marketing ojective if i have no information about my company or its cometitors?
  • what are the market segmentations posible to use?
  • do i list the available target markets in 'market segmentation' or 'positiong'?
  • what elements do i include to give a detailed sales forcast?
  • what is 'monitoring/control measures'?
  • does anyone know what a 'global marketing issue' is?

okay so my business report is on scooters for this company called Hot Wheels...

my task:
"you are the marketing manager for "hot wheels" , an australian manufacturer of motorcycles. its scooter divison has rapidly grown adn it is established itself as the market leader in it industry. " hot wheels" owns the patent for its australian designed and made scooters. sales have reached sturation point and you have been asked by the owners of the business to look overseas for a new market for your product. it is your responsibility to develop a marketing strategy that will enable the "hot wheels" to successfully expenad into international markets. you willl need to evaluate the different methods of international expansion for you product. it is also esstential that you consider the social/cultural and ethical and legal asp[ects of the market you choose to enter"

it also gives us a break down of a suggested format:
executive summary
situation analysis
marketing objectives
marketing segmentation
positioning
marketing strategies
forecasts
monitoring/control measures

hope you understand what my assessment is now....

also the info that i was referring to that i dont have is info in sales and figures on scooter companies
