Is it necessary to read up on critics' opinion in order to get a Band E4 in Ext 1 English? My local library has little, if not nothing. So I'll have to resort to the USyd or UNSW library (which are both inconvenient for me to get to).
Just wondering: for everyone who got 45+, did you spend a lot of time researching criticism on your texts and their genres? And what exactly should we research: the texts themselves, the genre or both?
