if you were asked to pick the two best texts and talk about how they convey there message, wat would be the best format to do this?

for some reason i can never get higher than 4/6, no matter how much i write.

Discuss = essay, not necessarily very formal.

If you're asked to take the perspective of two characters from the texts (or something like this) - conversation / dialogue.

Format isn't very important as long as you have a vehicle for expressing all your points. Either way you'd want to (depending on your time limit of course) write about at LEAST three and at MOST five or six points of comparison.

there is 2 very similiar questions they ask:
1. which 2 texts do u think are best 2 be included...
2. with reference to only 2 texts, discuss which one you feel is the best to be included...

if you get the second, then following anti's advice should get you through fine. if, however, you get a question like 1, where they dont stipulate to talk about only 1 or 2 texts - then its important to talk about ALL of the texts. i know, it seems stupid, but thats one of the important things they look for. basically, what you do is talk about how each text presents the concept of journeys etc. then for each show how the text you have chosen as the 'best' does it better, or does it more appropriately. eg. Although text 2 uses____to bring this message concerning journeys across to the responder, the use of ________by the composers of text 3 emphasises and develops this concept even further, making a far more profound impact on the responder. Thus, text 3 is a far more appropriate text for inclusion in ______then text 2.
