What should I put in my resume to give it the best chances of being accepted for call centre role?

I don't think you need much experience to get a job in a call centre.

Most call centres hire people without any previous experience.

I think you just have to have speaking skills (eg. helping out customers through the phone).

I work in a call centre, you really don't need to be a whiz kid to get the job. If you can answer a phone and aren't a total retard with computers you're pretty much set I think?

This. To OP, call centre work was my first job. The only real thing they were looking for in my group interview was a pleasant phone manner (i.e. warm, clearly understood voice).
