SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) -- A 17 year-old high school student faked the theft of his 2002 BMW M3 in order to collect insurance money to upgrade to a Bentley, police said on Thursday.

oh it's not that uncommon. in the eastern suburbs i kno a guy who has his own bmw (and he's still on his Ls) and a girl who got a brand new mercedes C-class for christmas last year. altho here in the inner west you're lucky if your mum/dad let u have the car for the day or night. lol

I read a story about a guy who put his car in storage and claimed the $20 000 for it from his insurance company ....
he said it had been stolen ..neways
he only did it because his girlfried at the time was demanding etc..so he used the money to go on holidays go out to dinners and buy her stuff etc
then when he ran out of money..she dumped him
hahaha...
smart idea though...

Well i live around penrith and at my school we had people with their own bmw's, mercedes, brand new.










Only they were stolen.
