Identify and assess the contribution and impact of the Role of the army and veterans in political life of Rome in the period 78-49BC

OMG, i really need help with this too, though 78-28Bc 4 me. does any1 know, if u get a question bout the army in an exam, how much stuff on pre-78, ie. marius/sulla conflict should u include??? any help much appreciated

include about one paragraph on marius/sulla and how that influenced the rise of the generals in our period. You also need to include stuff on the Senate and its willingness to give out imperium and dictartorships, even though the times werent as desperate as they suggested. It is also wise to include at least a paragraph on each pesronality seperately (Pompey, Caesar, Octavian, Antony) and their influence later on.
