does routines mean the same as modules or subprograms, if so is it correct to say that it allow the possibility of better organisation of codes and able to be reused

Yes, and yes... commonly known as Sub Routines..., sub routines help break down code logic, so code can be reused, and code wouldn't be too large to read... it's also good programming practices... sub routines are also generally known as 'Helper Methods'.
