That left-wing garbage we call the "Western Onion" should be shut down. Waste of paper that we fund which spreads propaganda that the idea average student is one who lives below the poverty line, votes Socialist Alliance, believes that forking out $300 a year toward a union for the sake of a free BBQ and who believes a good time involves drinking alcohol. The western onion is a sorry excuse for a 'paper', propogating such non-sense as "al quidea doesn't exist" (yes I bothered to read the whole story, and it was honestly claiming that it's all made up because of how 'convenient' it was for the 'neocons').

Haha at USyd the SRC publication had an article in it a few weeks back entitled "Why my ipod is better than my girlfriend". The socialists branded it sexist and went around campus ripping that article out of every Honi Soit on campus. Oh and last week we had one dedicated to feminist propaganda.

and if you think its a waste of papre, just don't pick up a copy. If everyone stops reading it they'll eventually have to stop piblishing it coz they won't be able to justify the cost anymore...

it hink its a waste of paper..but its not all 100% bullshit..tehre is some good stuff in it...but they could probly fit that all on a couple of A4 pages rather than bothering to print out the whole thing

well it would be great if there was another paper without the crap the onion has but soem articles are a bit of a laff at least. who bothers withthe political crap they write about anyway?
im not sure if what they repoted is true but a new system in uws has its pros and cons.
i onyl read it becasue para library dont have any newspapers that penrith has at its libraries and light hearted articles are al rgiht.

Wheneva I read it, well I've only read one, it reminds me of u know, the stereotypical university publication. Haha!! My friends and I picked up a copy the other day, looked at the front cover, rolled our eyes and put it back... I assume a lot of unneccessary funding is spent on it.

Guess it floats some ppl's boats, I'm just so not into all that stuff it goes on about.
