scaled mark for adv english 2002 hsc (1 Viewer)

what would be the scale mark for english if your HSC mark is 67? Been getting various answers from 20ish to 25. Any help please

I suggest you use UAISeeker and input a HSC mark of 67 and see what it gets scaled to.

Im thinkin 55, cos im pretty sure it scales lower the less ur aligned mark is...

oop. for 20 i mean 20/50 or 40/100 for year 2002

this is for yr 2002

English (Advanced) 2U 22% 2U 66.2/100 49.6/100

this is from ozseek. I just it scales closer to 50ish right?

Although my director of studies seems to think his 40/100 is right.

If that 'director of studies' made up that number while talking to you i'd say UAISeeker is more accurate.

ROFL, I dont see how it can lie if its using real statistics!
Anyway, an HSC mark of 75 in Advanced English scaled to approx 56.4 last year...so a mark of 67 would yield a much lower scaled mark..

The marks are not necessarily normally distributed; hence his method is invalid.
