Hey, i was reading one of those booklets that was sent out...the one called "you and your uai" . It has this Q&A section in it, and one of the questions is how is English scaled. The answer was that advanced and standard are scaled as a single group.
What does that mean? Do they mean that only the first exam that every student had to do gets scaled the same, or does everything in advanced and english get scaled the same? By the sounds of whats written it's everything...but I always thought advanced got scaled up more than standard.

paper 1 (aos) is done by both standard (STA) and advanced (ADV) students ... this common paper accounts for 40% of your english exam mark ... then paper 2 is done ... paper 2 is moderated based on the marks from paper 1 ... paper 2 accounts for 60% of the exam mark ... these two marks are combined ... and they are the raw marks ... which are rescaled by bos for hsc ... these raw marks are also sent to uac who rescale them as one group ... however in last years prelim and final scaling report uac reported them as one group ...
