does any one have a list of how subjects are scaled?

the subjects im most interested in are
adv englos
mod his
business studies
tourism (why is there no tourism heading......its a uia subject)
eart and environmental science

i think there is a list of how the subjects are scaled somewhere on that page :)

it's pretty confusing - I suggest you try out 'Lazseeker' and just play around with numbers and you'll get the general drift of things.

There is a list of how courses were scaled in 2001 on the main website. I don't think there will be too many variations for 2002.

There are a number of documents that describe the scaling process in detail under the "scaling/uai" section of the main site. If you have specific questions after reading through those, post again here. Attaining a mark below the average in a specific course usually - although not always - means that it will be scaled down. Courses that have scaled means below the default average of 25 will have relatively poor scaling.
