If you wer coming close to last in a class who wer getting 90-100% whereas you get 60-70s what would happen to your assessment mark if you got 95+ in the actual hsc..beating everyone in your class... how high can you assessment mark rise???????

Well your assessment mark would be determined by your rank in the class, so you would probably get one of the lower exam marks in your class as your assessment mark. You, however, will keep your exam mark as your HSC exam mark.

your mark in the exam won't have a huge impact on your assessment mark. They aren't completely independent since your exam mark is taken into account in the calculation. However, if your class is pretty big (20+ people) there will be negligible impact on your assessment mark due to your exam mark.
