Does Studies of Religion even scale you up?

To your aligned mark?
Yes... almost every subject scales up

Apparently, when they go to work out your UAI,
that scaled mark is better than the Business studies scaling

um it depends on what unit of religion u do
for 1u scaling is like in standard english and general maths
last yr no one in 1u got band 6
2u gets scaled up but only slightly, its pathetic
religion used to get scaled so well..not anymore

r u sure? last year at my skool half the girls got in band 6 4 1u RE!!

maybe my teachers was just scaring the 1u kids then..ok i retreat my claim as i hav no ethical justification or source on my claim

i don't believe all this scaling crap sumtimes. my cuz last year did ur average run-of-the-mill subjects, ie standard english, business, general maths, etc, and her UAI was low 90s...all her marks in the 80s/90s....crazy stuff, huh. just dunno anymore! ;p

A lot of people got band 6 last year but when the UAI was calculated the scaling was pretty average like a 46 would go to a 43 and a 43 would go to a 38 scaled...don't think it gets scaled down...cause the 46 is your aligned mark not your raw and last year a 46 meant you were in the 99th percentile of the state.
( you never find out about the 45 or 38-that's when they calculate ur UAI) but this is good compared to some other subects!!! But keep in mind it changes every year.
It was 2001 that re was fucked!!! not last year!

really? 2001 paper was easier than 2002 (in my opinion), so i thawt pplz would do well in re! but i spose there r heaps of ppl out there that HAVE 2 do re because they attend a religious skool, or that skool requires students 2 do a minimum of 11 units...

omg, seriously re scales like a horses arse(considering a horses arse doesnt have scales this is quite a feat), dont quite ur day job ~TeLEpAtHeTiC~, ur band six is going down... I wouldnt be putting any new deposits on shanty huts just yet

i have always heard that studies or religion scales up quite a bit and sor2 apparently scales HEAPS!!!!!!! if it doesnt well there goes my one subject i was relying on scaling for

um leon the drastic reduction in mark is misleading... not even 1 unit it scaled that badly so those marks are misconstrued, if u want a more definate answer to this ask laz but he will tell you something similar to myself

if anything the 90 will go up to 91/92 (according to uaiseeker)

WTF?? I thought band range from 1-6 only for subjects that are worth 2units not 1!! Shoulnt 1 unit subject band range from E1 - E4??? Like Ext 1 maths...??!

man...leons just playing with ya. SOR2 scales really well if u can get band6... particularly if you get into top1% of state (but i guess that would be for most subjects eh?)
SOR2 really drops though in the law band5 range and below.
All my info based on 2002 scaling sheet so it may be different for 2003?
