How much does scaling actually effect your final mark...?

Like... In an extreme case, what if my school had seriously hard exams and my assessment mark was only 65-70 which might happen to be rank 1?... but then my HSC examination mark was around 95? what does the board do with the assessment mark?

that's not scaling...I think you would just get 95 for HSC exam - 95 for internal

Correct, you will end up with 95 internal and 95 external (cumulating into 95 HSC mark). Remember it's the rank that counts.
