i also got a question. is the language they speak in the movie spanish or portuguese . and does anyone know where i can find the translation to some of the words they say through out the movie?

Cubans speak Spanish.

And at least spell his name right if you worship him so much. It's Pacino :p

Ditto. Didn't really rock my world. Actually I thought Carlito's Way.. in a way a companion film to Scarface, was a fair bit better.

although it's rather different i lumped it into a 'goodfellas (my favourite film possibly) crime' genre when i was younger.

i think expectations more than anything made it underwhelming for me
definitely has its moments though.

i still have seen Carlito's Way :(
as far as pacino goes, does he ever get better than Godfather Part II??

The Godfather Part 2 was probably the pinacle of Pacino's career, but it's only declined very slowly. He's had a few good movies every decade from the 70s to the 90s. GF 1, Gf2, Serpico and Dog Day Afternoon was the most brilliant period of his career. Scarface and Sea of Love were his best achievements in what's been his worst decade so far. The 90s saw him get some great roles in Scent of a Woman, Glengarry Glen Ross, Carlito's Way, City Hall, Heat, Donnie Brasco and Any Given Sunday. I'm sure we'll see him do something good before this decade's over too.

scarface is massively overrated i think

it was entertaining the first time, but it's so dated now and has been quoted to death

goodfellas is gold though, and the godfather book is incredible

goodfellas can be watched an infinite amount of times and still be enjoyed immensely. i think it's an almost flawless film
