SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDY TV JOURNALISM IN THE US

Ever wanted to be a news reporter? This is your chance. All Macquarie
students are invited to participate in an exciting program in TV news
production offered over four weeks in July at Butler University,
Indianapolis.

Students will visit the major American news network NBCs studios in
Chicago to see TV production in action, then take classes with industry
professionals in Indianapolis, developing skills in writing, shooting
and editing their own news stories. By the end of the course students
will take away a DVD show reel of their stories, to kick-start their
career in the media.

The groundbreaking course, developed jointly between Butler and
Macquarie media departments, will expose students to production
techniques like camerawork, lighting, voice overs and pieces to camera.
Students will also learn to find, write and edit snappy news stories.
Please note: the course has been approved at for 3 credit points MAS at
200 level.

Accommodation, meals, field trips and textbooks are all covered by the
program fee of $2350. Macquarie International is offering three
scholarships to enthusiastic students with media potential to cover this
amount. Students will have to organize their own travel to Indianapolis,
insurance and other incidental expenses. Students not receiving a
scholarship will receive a $1500 travel grant.

Applicants for the program need to move quickly to lodge their
applications before 5pm Friday 12th May. Simply follow this link and
