My school does that one term early switch to year 12 thing. After these holidays are done we start the year 12 course.

Whats everybody else doing this holiday. Study, or relax and enjoy the last holdiay before Yr 12 starts? Any ideas.

Just to let you know it isn't an early switch to year 12, HSC course. The Preliminary course only lasts for three terms then you begin the HSC course in term 4 to allow 4 terms of the HSC course (finishing in term 3 with term 4 for HSC exams). Just to clear that up all schools will now be beginning the HSC course.

Yes you will be getting HSC assessment tasks this term. I know for myself I got the SDD Major Project and we completed 40% of the Advanced English course in term 4, so be prepared for a busy term.

If I was you I would be enjoying the holidays to the fullest. Unless you feel that it would help you keep organisation and assist you next term with making study notes then feel free otherwise happy holidays and enjoy your time.

I really can't be bothered to study right now, even though there are things I need to cover before putting my head back into the workload =]

i guess i was lucky i only got handed one assessment task for the holidays and even still its optional for us to start it. that i have to say would probally be an advantage of having prelim yearlies in the last two weeks of term..

anyways

i plan on probally working and socialising as much as i can. if i get too bored inbetween that i may start on some study. but we'll see.

enjoy your holidays. whether your studying or not. have fun:uhhuh:

haha you are all so... hard working. Unless you've accelerated and have to study for some upcoming exam, I don't see any real point of studying. Sure, you can 'prepare' yourself for Year 12, but studying is so out of the question! These are going to be our last really relaxing holidays for a looong time. I would NOT waste it on doing notes, etc.

everyone, ENJOY YOURSELVES. RELAX!! Go to the beach or something. Otherwise you will go back to school on the first day of Year 12, be hit with a huge workload and regret you didn't have more fun in your holidays. And trust me, that is the suckiest, worst feeling of all.

Bleh. Just pulled another all-nighter. There you go, my last all-nighter wasn't that long ago...:p

Meh, should've studied though. Or more like, slept. But, being me, I just wasted the whole night away...<.<

I think you'll regret this when your exams are coming up next year around this time.
As much as it's similar to year 11, you'll probably find there's very little time for you to study.
You'll find that it's not just the study you have to do. Practicing exams is actuallly the most essential part of your success.

It's just a pitty if you don't use this holiday to do some work. Actually, a fair bit of work. I mean you've got 12+ hours when you're awake. Just do 2 hours a day, that makes a massive difference after 2 months. Trust me.
