My schools skips a few of the Dot Points so I was wondering if any of you could upload any information about these dot points:

Biology:

Patterns in Nature:

Use available evidence to discuss, using examples, the role of technologies, such as the use of radioisotopes in tracing the path of elemnts through living plants and animals.

Physics:

Perform a first-hand investigation to gather information about the frequency and amplitude of waves using an oscilloscope or data-logging equipment.

Perform a first-hand investigation and gather information to analyse sound waves from a variety of sources using a CRO or an alternate computer technology.

For Physics it would be appreciated if you could just upload your practical experiments; Thanks

#36- Discuss the role of technologies eg radioisotopes in tracing the path of elements through living plants and animals.
By growing plants in radioactive solutions with P and Ca ions, biologists can determine how they move and use this to develop fertiliser programs for commercial crops. P moves easily up in xylem and down in phloem, but Ca doesn’t move in phloem and can’t move from old leaves to new. Radioactive amino acids have been introduced into animal cells- can trace them to proteins on ribosomes within cells.

That's what I have in my notes. I don't do phys though, but hope that bit helps o_o

for the physics one all we did was get out some piece of shit oscillioscope and yell into the microphone, but i think ur supposed to get an input that produces a constant signal like a synthesiser of soughts. u just have to observe the way the the visual display display's the waves. yeh i wish i could have helped a bit more but my teacher doesnt really follow the syllabus that well either.
