It was just a marketing ploy by his agent.

i agree that he is cute but he would not be right for the part. even if he did cut his hair, he is american and isn't bond supposed to be english? there is no way in the world that an american can speak in an english accent. unless of course it is johnny depp

yeah, he was supposed to french, but if he's not french I doubt he can pull off a believable french accent. British is the next best thing and that's what he did.

Anyways, I'm only saying he's sexy, I want Clive Owen to be bond.
