Do a search on the IT forum on data recovery programs. Theres a good chance your photos are still there.

80% chance of getting them back if you did not write anything to the card since format

all you have to do is recover the table of contents...search google if you must

Its at the end of the card according to the way the camera sorted them.

Regardless of where you saw them, if you've used the card since the format theres a chance you have overwritten older files.

Lord AC,
Becareful when trying to recover the data - you might be able to get it, but can corrupt your card. (I know ive done this to a Smartmedia card)
Comes up as a "data redundancy error" - or that the camera cant "Initialize"/read the formatted card.

Did you format from Windows ? (If so what i just said applies)
If not, im not sure :p
But times like these you wish you had photographic memory :p

Like I said before, thats only the ORDER in which your camera displayed it to you - it doesn't mean every photo is stored sequentially in memory.

The SDs memory would have been used like a computer hard disk since its probably FAT32 as well. It just writes to where ever there is free space, if there is not enough contiguous free space for the entire file it will be broken up and put all over the place (fragmentation) and information about where each piece is stored is put into the FAT.

Most recovery programs try to look at the FAT and tries to make out where deleted files were and reads from those locations regardless of what is on it. Other tools try to read the entire disk regardless to find anything. Either way, once you've written over even just one fragment of your old photo, theres very little to no chance the entire photo can be recovered.
