So unsw gives hsc plus point right for band 5/6s so I was wondering if I get an 85 and get 5 points can I get into engineering which is 90 lowest selection rank on unsw website? Am I guaranteed entry? Because I feel as though this point system is overpowered as anyone can get into any course with a low atar. Thanks

It's not a guaranteed entry
90 might've been the lowest selection rank for last years cohort but it may not be for yours
and also, it's not good to look at the lowest selection rank, rather look at the median since the lowest could've had other deciding factors such as socioeconomic situation that couldve given them a more lenient entry
