Wasn't sure where to put this.

Anyway, today I took the plunge and cut off pretty much all my hair, most of which was done in one cut so there is a massive bundle. In the past people have mentioned to me that it's possible to sell hair to places that make wigs and do hair extensions etc, I was wondering if anyone had any experience selling their hair before? Bit of an odd question I suppose.

What are some places that buy hair? How much money could I expect? I'm guessing the bundle contains strands around 30 cm long.

lol I was thinking about this the other day too.

I dont know where you can sell it, but I think the money would depend on the quality of the hair [do you dye, straighten, perm, etc], the lengths [if they're around the same lengths or if it's layered], how thick it is, etc..

Donate it. There are charities that take hair and make wigs for children with alopecia.

locks of love is one charity that does this. Fairly sure they have a site..

If you want a wig for an adult, your hair usually needs to be much longer than 30cm, because they lose lots of it in the weaving process.
