Has anyone ever had a seminar, as opposed to a lecture/tute format?

If so, do you need to attend each one? Is it like a tutorial where they have a role? I'm thinking of doing one, but want to know whether I can skip it every once in a while and just listen to the ilectures from the day lecture.

ta! :D

is that like a lecture but in a really small class? philosophy of science was like that... its pretty cool because you can ask questions without the embarrassment of having 40000000 people looking at you (secretly thinking 'Nerrrrrrrd') ...:)

I've got one next semester.... (ENGL218 or something like that - it's a creative writing unit) I've been told it's like a workshop.

Well the crim tutes are essentially seminars...so you've already had experience in them. Basically like a tute where you learn new material. I think the term lecture/tute/seminar are quite often interchangeable in law.
