yeah, between two network computers u can share files,printers and play games....but is there a way of sending messages between each other comps? i have xp, but i rem. in win 98 they had a little proggie called winpopup...is there some program like this availabe for xp?

in case you don't know, type that in command prompt of WinXP or Win2k.

you find command prompt in start|accessories|system tools|command prompt

hey, btw how do i find out other peoples ip's so i can send them a message thru this?? if i can't, then how does one find what their own ip is?

because back then finding dos was easy

but in xp they dont store the command locally on c drive

Hahah, if you were a SDD/IPT person, instead of an SDD/IT student, I would be posting a lot more.

I don't regret not-having selected SDD, but IPT is pretty cool and it's a great forum to post in, there are always interesting Q's there to jog my memory, keeping me on my feet, etc :)

when i was in yr 10 i heard if u do all the computing courses ur fucked

bah oh well

i would of aced IPT as well

i hate IT because its hardly computing more with communication with people and liasing wtf BS lol..

just use VNC and annoy the hell out of the other person using the computer

Lol vnc is very funny... our school has about 120 dell computers all on the network, and playing around with vnc, particularly with year 7's and that is particularly funny
