what's the answer??
would the least corrosion occur in the plastic box?? does the fact that aluminium is passivating have anything to do with corrosion on the hooks?
is the aluminium box the best choice because its more reactive than copper and so would offer cathodic protection??

aaarghhh... *confused*
plz help me
thanx

Use the answer to part (i) in this question, i.e. Iron
Then observe on the standard potentials table which of the different metals available when used in conjuction with Iron would act as the Anode.
Plastic wont help as the iron would just corrode by itself.
Knowledge of a Galvanic Cell is required.

Yes that would be the most suitable as it is more reactive then Fe2+, hence would be reversed, making it the anode.
