idk if i should choose ancient or modern for year 11, i want to do some history bc i really like it and wanna do smth i enjoy but i like ancient and modern somewhat equally and i don't have any factors to decide on. i

if anyone is taking/taken can you please tell me what it is like? thankyou !!

hi, i am not very well versed on the differences, but im in yr 11 and i was in a similar position to you and maybe explaining my thought process might help you. i ended up choosing modern. some things i considered were the previous year's results in the subject (in my school), the teachers, the workload, who i thought was gonna take the course in my year (ik its kind of crazy but it was important for me so i would have ppl i know/smart kids that i can study with, which helps) and which one i thought i would be better at based on yr 9/10 history (to my knowledge it was mainly modern and i feel i have a better understanding of modern history anyways).
