So I'm in year 11 (year 12 now technically) and I'm doing:

Advanced English
General Mathematics (was doing 2u, dropped down-biggest mistake ever)
Chemistry
Economics
Legal Studies
Biology
SOR 1u

I decided that I was going to drop gen because I really hate it and its negative effects in regards to scaling + atar etc (although I know I could do really well in it), but this was before I got my chem prelim results back. With chem, in the half-yearly report I came 2nd and got 81% for my theory exam and 96% for my prac/skills exam. That dropped significantly to 67% for theory and 80% for prac/skills, and now I think I'm coming 8th or 9th. I'm coming in the top 5 for all my other subjects besides Adv English which I'm coming 9th in.

The drop in my chem mark really bothers me and I feel like it's a huge risk for me to do chem in my HSC with those marks right now? Should I drop chemistry or gen, I have no idea what to do :( HELP PLS

Have you started HSC? If not, do both for a week or two and maybe that'll make it easier for you to decide which one to drop.

Nah, we don't start until week 3. Yeah I think I'll continue with both until after our first assessments at the end of this term. Thanks for the suggestions! :)

You're welcome :)
Maybe you'll end wanting to do both or drop both haha. Goodluck!
